How To Succeed In Life
Do you want to learn how to succeed in life?
Are you fed up with your career, money problems or love life?
Is a lack of purpose preventing you from living your life like you really mean it?
If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, then you’ve come to the right place.
Today we’re delving into the “steps” required to succeed in life itself, all without the pressure and frustration from modern society.
Below is an overview of what needs to be understood.
- Benefits of lifestyle design and striving for true autonomy.
- The one vital, core attribute which separates those who succeed from those who don’t. (Everything else being equal)
- Why you should eliminate rank, money and accreditation from your life.
- Practising self actualisation and The Art of Living.
1. Start designing your own life Autonomously
In order to succeed in life, I believe you need to begin living life on your own terms and making your own decisions.
You probably do this 99% of the time anyways.
However, it is about designing your own life for your own benefit (primarily).
- Choosing your friends yourself, rather than accepting the first group of people you somewhat click with in a social group
- To define and understand what core values and beliefs are important to you before and during your romantic relationships, without settling for less
- Having a working lifestyle that you actually enjoy, rather than one you hate.
These are all work-in-progress goals though and can’t be figured out easily over a beer on a Saturday night.
It’s a bit like customizing a character in a video game.
One where you allocate experience points towards learning a new skill.
The same applies with life.
I’m usually at my happiest when I have a good amount of control in my life.
Unfortunately however, you will receive some backlash from those who supposedly care about you.
Especially if your goals are remarkably different from their own, and/or they think that whatever it is you’re trying to achieve is not the ‘right-fit’ for you.
- People will try to bring you down.
- You may experience loneliness.
But who cares right?
You will be proud of yourself for making decisions to change the direction your life is heading in, regardless of whether or not you succeed.
2. What separates those who succeed from those who don’t…
It has to be the ability to reinterpret existing beliefs with the intention of making them benefit you.
In other words, successful individuals have made it a personal mission to rekindle their entire belief system in order to support their goals.
“People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true.
That’s how they define “reality”.
But what does it mean to be “correct” and “true?” Merely vague concepts…their reality may all be a mirage.
Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?” – Masashi Kishimoto
More so they feel happy and successful because they have redefined success as a concept in of itself, and they understand clearly, what life means to them.
“Knowledge and awareness are vague, and perhaps better called illusions.
Everyone lives within their own subjective interpretation.” -Itachi Uchiha
This is primarily how I try to create my own reality.
At the end of the day, I always tell myself the following:
“Everything I experience in life is unique to me.
My reality is different from everybody else’s, because I’m doing different things at different times of the day, in different ways.”
If what I perceive through these eyes, these ears and this mouth is different from what everybody else perceives and interprets, why am I doing what everybody else is doing and expecting to receive the same result?
3. Forces to harness for everlasting happiness
- Failure and Success
- Delayed Gratification
- Perseverance and The Will To Live.
- The Unknown
All the concepts above are the most important forces in the universe that is under your complete control.
Want to learn how to succeed in life? Master these concepts and everything will fall to place.
Because for me, life is about exploration.
Whilst creating peace and harmony for myself and those around me.
So in order to do that, I have to eliminate unwanted entities such as pressure and frustration from my life, because they’ll only limit my potential and inevitably make me depressed.
4. Eliminate Accreditation, Rank, Money and other physical realities from your life
Learning how to succeed in life is very difficult when your idea of success is tied so strongly to external entities which add very little value to your life.
It’s not about removing them completely, but instead loosening the influence they have over your life.
You can succeed in life when you’re able to:
Practising self actualization and the Art of Living
Self actualization is a mental state of being content in roughly every area of your own life.
Taking each of the balanced life components to the next-level.
In other words, it is about fulfilling one’s potential.
Practicing self actualization will promote ever-lasting happiness and excellence in your life.
You’ll begin appreciating each day and will treat it as if it’s a new beginning.
Once you move up Maslow’s hierarchy of needs , you’ll become happier and your life will have more meaning.
In my opinion, the easiest way to begin laying the foundations for success in life, is to stop endlessly thinking about trying to be a success in the first place.
We naturally become so critical and expect so much from ourselves, that everything we attempt to do leads to frustration.
5. Calm down, embrace who you are and continue moving forwards.
Life doesn’t have to be a battle or a punishing experience – don’t make it one.
Changing this in my life is the main reason why I founded the Balanced Life Academy.
This website is primarily about and instilling the right beliefs that will allow us to live balanced lives.
We’re not trying to become the best for accolades, praise, monetary gain or attention.
We just want to become better people and in-turn making the world a better place, without killing ourselves in the process.
